Tinting CLK-any problems with windows that go up and drop a 1/4 inch when door opened
#2
u know i was thinking of that...it shouldn't be a problem cuz i don't think it will scratch the thing that much and make sure you get warranty on the tint. some tint places will give you warranty just in case it gets scratched up. Just minimize the door openings the first day or two.good luck with it and please let me know how it goes.

Just make sure to have moleskin (Soft Felt) applied to the innder door seal that touches the window.
The mole skin will stop any scratching.
Also, make sure the tinter uses a heat gun to dry the bottom of the windows well before you leave so the drop down feature doesn't creep the tint from not being dry.

I've had my tint on for more than a year now and haven't had any problems with the windows going up and down (even during installation; if thats what you are refering to). Not sure where you are located, but most tint shops in So Cal offer lifetime warranty on tint so if there were to be a problem you could always go back. Not sure if thats how it works for you as well.
