Hi folks, I have a 2007 CLK350 with a regular radio unit. I found a command unit for a very good deal and I would like to install it, I do not need the navigation I just want to use the aux that's it and it looks better than the regular radio unit.I was wondering if that is gonna be just plug and play or do I need anything else? Heres the unit :
CURRENT:W209 2009 CLK350 Coupe FORMER: W245 2006 B200
Assuming you are based in North America, there are 2 versions of COMAND. One with a SERV button on the front. Another with a SYS button. I believe 2008-2009 CLKs use the SYS version. Anything before uses SERV. Make sure you buy the right one or the clock display will be off by an hour.
For AUX input, you don't necessarily need a COMAND. Both the stock radio and COMAND still need the proprietary cable that plugs into the quadlock (behind the radio).
Otherwise it is plug and play. Just be aware if you do decide to add navigation in the future, you just have to add a ~$5 antenna to the back.
Thank you very much.I live in Los Angeles CA, The one that I found has the SERV button, so it should be fine then because my car is 2007 . Also i was wondering if i can add apple car play and backup camera ?
Also is there any specific part number or name for the antenna?

To be doubly sure, ask the seller if they know which model year CLK it was salvaged from. If they say 2007, then you're gold.
Apple Carplay needs a whole new radio. Backup Camera is a definite no. CLK COMAND has no video inputs unfortunately.
