New to me Flooded/HYDROLOCKED CLK550. Will it run? Is it worth to save it? :)
Just got another project from the salvage auction - hydrolocked CLK550. Starter was burned (trying to crank locked engine), 6 liters of water drained from the engine, then drained probably 3 liters from the exhaust, replaced the starter, then I was able to start the engine!!! And now I removed the intake and drained another 1 liter of water or so from it So I thought it would be a great time to replace all those rubber vacuum lines that are connected to the intake and flap solenoids. Are there any kits available?

Folks, who knows this sound coming from the intake manifold? I removed the manifold previously to drain the water. Didn't see any broken rods that control the flaps.

Removed the intake again. Piece of cake now - 1hr of slow wrenching
The inner flaps in the closed position has some free play. Is it normal? Looks like this looseness is making the sound I showed in the video above. In the open position- no play at all.
