Strut Assembly

I have an 2005 CLK320 that I can't find a strut assembly for, I've looked everywhere. Despite of that, there is a strut assembly for the 2005 CLK500. I was wondering if the struts for the 500 will fit on the 320.

They will fit but they ought to be stiffer as they were meant to hold up the heavier v8.

That it will be stiffer, will it effect the way the 320 drive negatively?
Thanks.

Couple of questions:
1. Why are you looking for strut assemblies ? You don't want to deal with installing springs? Usually most of indy shops will be able to assemble/disassemble struts for a small fee.
2. Be aware that there is two types of from struts: for "sport suspension" and for "non-sport suspension". The difference between them is a hole size for sway bar links. 12mm and 10mm accordingly. I can tell you which one you need by using for example this resource https://www.lastvin.com/. But I think all clk500 for US marked have sport suspension.

Yes, the moral is I don't want to deal with the springs. But since you mentioned that indy shops will assemble/disassemble for a small fee, I'll inquire before purchase.
Thanks.

clk500 struts

I just purchased a '05 clk500, for my wife, that is very well optioned including #486 sport suspension.
FCP Euro, Parts Geek, Rock Auto, Tire Rack and others make special note these are not for "sport suspension". I'm wondering if this is accurate. I have NOT found any struts for a "sport suspension" version.
What is the difference between a regular version and a "sport suspension" option car, if any?
Lastly, if in fact they are different, where can you purchase the correct struts/shocks?
Thanks a ton, Scott

Do think it is best to get CLK350 strut assembly over an CLK500 strut assembly?

09 CLK550
I purchased 2 x Bilstein W0133-1941358 from partsgeek in Dec for my 2009 CLK550 (with sports suspension #486)
Its just the bare strut, not the whole spring assembly. $109
