Keyless go
2004 clk55 cabrio,
Hi I am having an Issue with my keyless go. Everything was fine, then car battery died, I must have left something on its a new AGM battery only a month old.
Now my keyless go does not work. Door handles, trunk latch, shifter button all give me the key not recognized msg. Everything else on the keys works. Buttons work, lock, unlock, if held down I can get the tops and windows to go up and down.Panic button only gets flashing lights so I guess my siren is dead.
Checked all the fuses from the 3 fuse boxes and none are blown. Tried searching forums, most are related to blown #8 fuses, shorting, working on one side or and not the other, key battery etc.
Both my keys act the same. Are my issues related to antenna amp if my remote still works? My Radio signals are fine. I did just replace the head unit but this was a few days after the keylessgo stopped working so it can't be the cause.
Tried a few fixes like leaving keys in ignition for a few hours or some methods of pressing lock and unlock to get the key to sync. So far no go.
If any suggestions, much appreciated.Thx
