Buying a 2005 CLK320

To my surprise, my father decided against the E320 in favor of CLK320. Since it is his birthday present, who am I to argue? How much should I expect to pay for a 2005 CLK320 w/ Nav in Orange County? I thought I had a handle on how MB were negotiated, but according to Drew: I'm pretty far off. The only "options" will be Metallic Paint (Pewter on Black), Sunroof, and COMMAND.

CLK320
Okay.

Try Robert Blake at Laguna Nigel MB. He's a straight up guy and will give you a fair price from the get go. He does not walk the dealership floor and only works on his own client lists plus recommendations. By the way, a lot of my ex co workers in San Francisco will actually purchase their cars from him.

2005 CLK55 Cab
My guy at MB in Laguna Niguel is Paul Brown, who is also excellent. You can check out their site at http://www.mbzdirect.com and view the inventory. I would expect you would pay high 60's for the 320 cab w/Nav. I go to that dealership about 1x a week to drool in the lot, and I remember seeing a few 320 cabs ( brilliant silver and diamond silver ) in stock. Not sure if they have Nav or not - but Paul is great at sourcing the car - he handles the internet stock there.
Hope that helps -

We're looking at a 2005 CLK320 Pewter on Charcoal Coupe w/ Sunroof, Lighting Package, and COMMAND. Carsdirect + Tax/License/Everything gives us $50K OTD. CarsDirect is only $100-$300 below invoice, i've heard of $1750 below invoice on 2005s?

I see you are using my information even though you said it is useless! Maybe not?

Anyway,
If a person is not educated on something, you are at the mercy of the party that is.
Cost on the car you want...
MSRP Price: $50,610
Invoice Price: $47,718
C/D price to you $47,518 ......But this includes their fee. So if you eliminate it
C/D estimated fee $1,000
My new target price $46,518= $1200 under invoice. But without negotiation skills it is just a number. Also availability plays a key factor in the deal. Time of the month. Dealership location etc...
You can p/m or email me if you need more help

Impressive- just how does one get a MB @ 15% below, or less than invoice and their holdback ?
CLK-500 Cabs regularly go for MSRP here in So. Cal., so that is an astounding price !

Was it hours of negotiating ? Know the owner? ...., what is the secret ?

I have a 2005 Clk 320 hard top not cabriolet...
I built my car online @ mbz usa and it offered a 7% discount and a trip to europe, so i told the dealer to match the price... and give me an additional discount for not going to Europe. (I was in and out in 40 minutes!) The discount was from the m.s.r.p.

WOW ! That is some good dealing you did. Kind of concerning if they are willing to lose money on a new 05...
They must be heavily overstocked or the market is going South......

The Best Part is that the residual value after 29 months is 29,900. I also dont see any interest rate on the lease contract? (Should there be?) I put $5,000. down and the payment is $465. a month @ 15,000 miles a year. sticker Price was $48,900. Contract Price on Unit....$40,300. (The Car Only Has 2,000 miles so far since November 11th 2004) My daily driver is my 2004 Infinity G35 Coupe. Sittin on 20x9 and 20x10 axis mods....The Rear tire Size is 305/25R20 Continental. - Oh Dear!
