Question help 2004 clk500 /2005 clk 500

help. I have driven both today. 2005 has nice arrangement for center console controls for radio and climate control. 7 speed at. cost $6000 more. I do not like the 7sp auto. car is noiser, tranny seems alway shifting. intial launch is like a rocket, but fishtailing is almost invoked until traction control cuts in .Launch on 5speed less rocket like, but when it catches its like a freight train, climate contol has cool air feature adjustable through top vents no matter where rest of air is directed. epa is better on 2005 17 /26 2004 17/22 . There ar 2 left over, (really left over both manufactied 12/03/ One has been on show room floor,.the other outside. Which to buy. ? I drove the outside one . have not driven the inside one battery is dead center armrest door is broken off. I can have either for same price $53270 . Also choice of tire Pirelli p zero or michiln pilot sports. Which would you choose. Can either be use in very light snow? I KNOW they are not to be driven in snow, but has anytbody have either and done it. Help I'm leaning to the 2004, price and car is quieter and easier t drive
more sanely on launch. HELP HELP

Cut a sweet deal on an 05 and be done with it. I have an 04 and love the new center stack , trunk spoiler lip and 7 speed of the 05s plus the resale will always be about $5k higher. Get Pilots over Pirellis, I have had both and the Pilots are much better and more expensive for a reason.

I can get $2000K off 05

and there is NO gas guzzler tax making the difference $ 3410. But the o4 is quieter and less difficult to drive tham o5. 7sp tranny makes that much difference,

I agree. I have an 05 and if you don't want to feel the constant shifts, put it into the "C" mode.
