Cabin Air Conditioner Temperature Sensor

Hi

The temperature sensor located in roof light panel appears to be "gone".

For a short time, my AC unit stopped controlling the temperature and just pumped out freezing air. Now it will not cool at all.

When I looked at the circuit board the little fan was operating but there was no sensor on top, just a small piece of wire extending to the centre of the fan. I suspect the sensor has broken away and now outer two terminals of temperature sensor module have nothing attached.

I am hoping I will not need to replace the whole temp sensor module (fan and sensor) and someone can advise the type of temp sensor used and possible part number, from Merceds or elsewhere.

Thanks
