P0307 Code
P0307 Code
Hi
I have a 2006 CLK 500 that keeps throwing a misfire code. I took it to the dealership, and they replaced the plugs and wires. Still have the misfire code. Then the switched the coil packs to see if the misfire moves, it still stays with cylinder 7. Then they performed a dip down and compression test. Both came back normal. They are at a loss on what it could be.
The car has a rough idle and its a little bit slower than usual to accelerate to 60 mph. But after that you wouldnt even know its missing. If you go straight to highway driving after you let it sit for a week, it bogs way down and also has a misfire in cylinder 4. After you turn the car on and off the misfire in cylinder 4 goes away and does not come back. If you clear the P0307 it will stay off for about 30 seconds of idling and then it comes back on.
Does any one have any ideas on what could be causing this?
