EVAP monitor still NOT ready after 2,500 miles

I have a 2008 CLK350 that had a misfire code of P0302. It also had symptoms of rough idle. After extensive diagnosis it turned out to be a bad Fuel Injector. That was replaced along with all spark plugs. I also cleared all codes. The idle improved after replacement.

The issues is that I still can NOT get the EVAP monitor to ready after 2,500 miles. I followed the MERCEDES Emissions Drive Cycle guidelines and the only monitor still not ready is the EVAP, even after 2,500 miles.

Does anyone know why?

If the code returns or doesnt go away .In calif you can go to calif smog check site there you can find if its normal .I have subaru went to smog it and faid evap code .Replaced gas cap cleated codes performed drive cycle .Code comes back wont clear all relevant monitors passed. On the smog check site theres a note on my car a evap code that wont clear as long as other monitors pass will pass smog .So make sure its not normal .If thats not situation the vehicle still has a problem .It could be a system that is just bit out of specs . If you access a good scan tool during self test record memory codes and stored data . There is a mode six page that can record and save intermittant data . Its freeze frame the data could help you diagnose it a code is generated when its degraded 15% ,Look for a system that is close to specs but in that 15% range . It self tests itself when you do Drive cycle follow it as close as possible ,also make sure fuel levet is between 1/4 to 3/4 maximum. Its not how many miles to do drive cycle its how you do it . Some go one block it passed.Others have to be driven minimum 250 miles .

Thanks for these thoughts. I’ve been doing drive cycles multiple times a day for a month now. I’ve tried it with fuel tank kept full / tank kept near empty and tank kept around half full. Always the same result…Evap System Monitor comes on (eventually) and so does the CEL.
