Hi, guys. I recently bought a 2004 CLK500. the convertible top was in the open position and not working. We were able to manually put up the top with the help of youtube but now, the trunk lid won't open and I get messages that the top is in operation and the top is not locked. The vehicle was also missing the key out of the fob.
Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Well, the hydraulic cylinders are likely shot. You can get rebuilt ones from Klaus (search the forum). If you decide not to replace them, you'll need to get the top to lock closed so it will turn off the warning and release the trunk. I believe you can do this with an Allen wrench used through the small (plastic covered) hole under the plastic trim on the top. This is easily seen and reachable from the driver's seat.
