CLK320 W209 Convertible Roof Not Working

I am having problems with my 2003 CLK320 convertible that I bought last with issues which I am working through at the moment. Retirement project. One of the issues is that the Top will not go down. The main lift cylinders were leaking and these were reconditioned by Top Hydraulics (thanks Klaus). After installation of the cylinders the top will not go down and there is no leaks. When the switch is activated, the windows go down and the top unlatches from the windscreen and raises about 1.5 inches and that is it. I can hear the motor or something working in the boot area. The dash displays the "Top in operation". Does anyone know what the problem may be or point in the right direction. I am in Australia and about 3 hours from the nearest MB service center.

I replaced all 7 of my cylinders on my 2008 CLK 350 without issue - they worked immediately. Did you make sure to replace the lost fluid in the reservoir? See this thread for more info: https://mbworld.org/forums/clk-class...pen-trunk.html

Yes, the fluid has been replaced and there is no leaks.

I tried to open the roof manually according to the MB Owners Manual. I placed the straps around the hinges between the plastic and metal components. I screwed the pump relief value counter clockwise 2 turns. I saw the Top Hydraulics video and it shows relieving the pressure by pulling a button and locking it out. My vehicle does not have these buttons. We closed the boot and we pulled the straps back and up but we could not move the cover. Is there any other way to open this cover? Are there any locks or catches that I can manually manipulate?

I sprayed the cover hinges several times over a few days but could not open the cover using the manual method. I disconnected the structs that raise and lower the cover and can now open the cover manually. The structs are seized and this is the reason the cover could not be opened manually.
