A209 Error when trying to open the soft top
Hello friends!
I have a 2004 CLK500 and that the top will not open. I have had the car for over 12 years and know you have to bring down the "partition" in the trunk for the top to function.
Yesterday, I tried to open the top and got an error message on the dash that the "partition" was not down. In the past when this happened, I would go to the trunk and flip the partition up and then bring it back down; the top then worked fine. This time, after doing it multiple times, I was still getting the error and the top would not go down.
Am I doing something wrong? Is there a sensor that is out of sorts and needs to be looked at?
