I just put 19" Moda's r6s on mine for 2 grand (w/tires) - got them from tire rack. 8s in front 9s in back
I receive compliments on my car almost every day...before with the stock wheels, comments were seldom.
The car looks great...I'll try to post some pics later today.

The Kleemann's TS-6 wheels are among my favorite wheels (only in 19"; check out Frisco's CLK). Kleemann claims that they add to down force because they supposedly help evacuate air from under the car better than other wheels, but who knows if that's actually true. If you're looking for a simpler design, Kleemann's TM-5's are my favorite 5-spoke design period.
Check out brav's Angstrom Wheels over in the W211 forum. You can get them with a ceramic clear coat, and apparently they're not too heavy. They're not as cheap as TampaCLK's Moda's though; you'll still end up close to $4,000 for 19's, according to their distributor, Supreme Power's website
HRE's 542 (go to their Showroom select the CLK, then the 540R series; the 3rd one is the 542) is nice looking, too.
Both the Angstrom's and TS-6's (not sure about the TM-5's) are going to be lighter than your Monoblock VI's or HRE's; I believe Brabus, HRE, and AMG are on the heavier end of the scale.
If money really isn't a consideration, the
Carlsson 1/16 UL's are really sweet, supposedly really lightweight, but quite expensive (I remember hearing that they're something like $2K per wheel, but I may be mistaken). Still, they really are pretty.

Which HRE do you think will look good? What do you guys think of 840R, 540R or 547R high polished? Or do you have any suggestion? Does high polished HRE rims look good on a silver car?

Forgot about these Lorinser ones. Not sure how much they run, but they're really nice. Someone in the C55 forum has replicas of them on his car.
HRE's are the trendy choice, and if you like one of their styles best, you should go with it; but you're not going to have something as unique as you would with the Kleemann's, Lorinser's, Angstrom's or Carlsson's. Also don't forget that they're heavy as all hell (which will sap a bit of performance), and they're made for a variety of vehicles, so the odds of seeing your wheels on some other make is high (the same applies to Angstrom's, but they're not a well known company).
Highly polished wheels on a silver car will look fine, if you really want something eyecatching go with something different, like a painted finish. Charcoal or black with a polished lip (or even red!) would be real pretty.

The TS-6s and Carlsson ULs are both under 20lbs (IIRC, mine are around 18lbs), whereas my old Brabus wheels were a little over 30 lbs and the stocks in the high 20s (this is all from memory, and I could be wrong). I can say that I do feel better handling and an increased feeling of downforce since I got these wheels, but it's really not noticable under about 90 mph.
I like the new HRE Competition, and they are also lightweight and look pretty hot:
