CLK 200 M271 Questions.
As my first thread posted on this forum, I want to say hi to everyone.
The problem we are having is the following. My mate has a CLK 200 (184hp version) and the engine seized due to lack of oil (his fault) and I thought to ask several questions about this car.
1. I really love the shape the C209 has, its pillarless design truly aged like a great wine but, are the 1.8 184hp engines reliable enough? And can you make them sound actually good?
2. Can you swap (easily) the M271 Turbo variant into a CLK? Are they mostly the same engine? For my mate's CLK we've been looking at engines to get it back to run and it seems like a turbo M271 engine is cheaper here where I live.
3. How good are these cars as a daily and how much should I really pay for a good CLK 200 with some options.
