First off thank you for welcoming me to this forum. Back in July (2023) I purchased a used (but new to me...) 2004 CLK55 AMG convertible. It’s my first MB and I REALLY enjoy it!
But this past September (2023), on an evening drive in the country, a porcupine crossed in front of me causing damage to my front bumper and requiring it to be replaced. After bringing it to a collision center to be repaired I was notified that MB had discontinued the bumper (Part #:2098852625). I've since been scouring the web trying to find a new replacement with no success. I've now resorted to looking at the used bumper market only to find that these bumpers are similar or in worse condition than mine.
Does anyone here have suggestions on where I could source a bumper? I would prefer OEM but I’m getting desperate and would be willing to use something non-OEM if need be.
Follow-up question… Does anyone know if other similar models (like a 2004 Mercedes Benz CLK500) bumper which may look a touch different would work even though the bottom grill and flood lights might look a bit different?
