For those with a brabus front bumper...

How many of you would like a carbon fibre front lip? I am in contact with a couple shops that could do it, but want to see how many of you would also be interested? I don't have the price yet, just want to get an estimate of how many I can get together. Most likely, I will hear back on Monday for the price.

Hi Harris - No I didn't actually. Maybe I just didn't notice it and it got picked up by my spam filter and moved into the spam folder. I'll check tonight.

I did 2, one for my C and the other for my CLK.
It cost about 200 for the foundation and another 500 w/ shipping for the CF overlay.

Very high quality. Shop is down in LA if anyone is interested.

well, one of the places I called are in the valley. They are more of a manufacturer, than a shop, so I highly doubt they do repairs. I will ask when I speak to them though. Did you also get yours done in the valley? and how much? Thanks.

BrabusW203 - It was $700 total for everything? You have any pictures? And what shop was this? Thanks.

Frisco - nice sig!!!

I do know of one shop in the valley that does CF repairs, but would like to source others for price comparison purposes...let me know what you find out.

I purchased my CF spoiler thru Brabus Germany since it was never marketed in the US...$2700 cuz overseas shipping ain't cheap when they pack the unit in a box the size of a refrigerator.

Yes is it was 700ish (I cannot remember the exact total amount for shipping) for each.

I will take pics asap, both cars are in the shop heh, one for sound, the other for bodywork.

2700? LOL what a rip-off, it would have been even cheaper to just source it out to indonesia or germany to get the cf overlay.

I got mine done for about $700ish. I love the quality of it, extra strong, nice and thick, and the weaves are perfect. Looks great over all.

Minus two more exhaust right.... six exhaust pipes is kinda overboard IMO.

I dont know why Brabus would do something like that.

But then it would not be an authentic Brabus piece

heh - I didn't mean the six pipes. I just like the idea of the CF trim for the rear bumper. I still have the AMG rear bumper, and I think it'd look better with CF instead of the OEM black plastic piece (assuming that I keep this). Perhaps for my car I should try to get mine to match the interior pieces instead of getting black... hmm

Update: I just spoke to the guy and the number needed for this is 15 people. And by the looks of it, there doesn't seem to be 15 people interested. The price given to me was $500. I will wait to see what Harris can do.

On another note - how about the K8 hood? Anyone? The number is also 15, but could see more interested since a Brabus purchase isn't a re-req. Starting to think I'm getting carried away with this stuff.

How much for the K8 hood? How are we supposed to attach the CF lip to the Brabus bumper?
