CLK 55 air in cooling system?
Recently replaced a hose near the firewall that sprung a leak and squirted coolant everywhere. Had the “check coolant level” warning so figured I had to replace what was lost. I added some to the reservoir but the message still won’t go away, even after a couple days of driving. I tried a bleeding process I read online where I run the car with the cap off, heat on full blast, and squeezing radiator hoses but it won’t drink it down and the message is still on the screen. Any ideas?

DO NOT TAKE THE CAP OFF WHEN YOUR CAR IS HOT OR WARM IT WILL EXPLODED.. You can bleed off air by leaving the coolant cap unscrewed while idling the car, this process should only take a minute or two. The warning light is sensed by a sensor located in the expansion tank/coolant reservoir which could be bad. You can order a new sensor and pulled the old sensor out.
