I have a 2004 clk500 can I add an aux
I was wondering if there is any way to find out if I can add an aux to my car I've looked in the glove box and it's not there I've also looked under the carpet looking for the white connector I don't know if I've missed it or if my car just doesn't have it and if there is any other way to add an aux

On my 2009 CLK350, I pulled the cover off of the end of the dashboard and the aux jack was rolled up in there. It had never been installed. I just punched out the pre-cut hole in the glove box and pushed it in. Works great. Maybe you'll get lucky and it will be in there.

From what I understand some cars have a connector under the trim at the bottom of the passenger door. Others require removing the stereo head unit and plugging it into the back. I have looked in my 2007 CLK 350 and could not find one on the passenger side. My next step is to take apart the center console and see if I can plug one in to the back of my head unit. Maybe you will be lucky and have it rolled up beside the glove box but if not I think all CLKs could have an aux installed.

You might have the fiber optic setup with a 2004. If that's the case I wouldn't bother. It is a massive PITA to retrofit a clean aux input.
With mine I ended up replacing the head unit with a samsung tablet and ditched the CD changer and fiber optic amp in the trunk but kept all of the speakers It was surprisingly easy.
It's been 6 years now and it's a massive improvement over the dated oem setup.
