How to remove this short molding, drivers side, rear (quarter panel?)
I asked a shop and they said its just double tape, but I am not convinced. I am afraid to brake it and or not being able to put it back.

Buck, when I have a question like yours, I go to ebay (or other sources) for some clues. Take a look at this part and you will see that there are plastic push clips holding it in place. Normally destroyed during removal and overpriced at the dealer, but so be it. I'm sure the body shop DOES use double tape, but that doesn't make it correct :-)

As depicted on the pic you linked, it has 4 clips (as I was feeling, despite body shop expertise advice).
But 3 clips are the same, and one is different. I was able to order 3 rear one for $25, but for the front clip it takes visit to dealership.
