Replace cigarette lighter with USB ports
Hello all!
Is there a way that I can remove the 12v cigarette lighter and replace it with a dual USB port? I can break down the console and remove everything except for the life of me I can't figure out how to remove the actual 12v assembly, thought I can free It from the ashtray housing. There is a red block that I cannot figure out how to remove.
Any advice or solution? Please help.
The only videos I can find just replace the entire assembly. Can I crush it out with pliers? 🙁

I use the below instead. I also bought a Bluetooth USB plug in AUX cable so it connects to the AUX port in the glove box and the wire comes out and plugs into the USB socket adapter.
