Has anyone noticed a metallic click noise when they put the vehicle in reverse and tap on the gas (a little aggressively?)
Just a one time click - weird and I can’t find a cause. Cars been looked at several times. Even replaced the shift linkage bushing as well. Noise still happens.
Is it normal? 722.6 5 speed.

Metallic click when tapping on the gas in reverse maybe reads to me more as something vibration related by the throttle action with the car pivoting in reverse. When you put the car in reverse it bites a bit and raises up, If followed by tapping the gas it accentuates something by movement at a wild guess im assuming something underneath like a heatshield may be loose where by when you slot it in reverse and it gets to moving and you tap the gas something just touches causing the sound.
