Question Engine oil display

Just checked my oil using the display after coming home, I let the car sit for about 10mins and it came up saying "reduce oil level!" I just had the car A serviced about 1000 miles ago and my tech is very competent. Well there was a post on the 211 forum showing how to access dyno mode etc and it also gives the exact oil level which is showing 8.0 quarts, the exact amount a 500 is supposed to have. Anyone have their multi function display give erroneous oil levels?

Thanks

Mine does too. And it was serviced by the local MB dealer! I just ignore it. I'd imagine my dealer knows what they're doing...

Just for peace of mind use the advanced oil level check...

RJC, I had the same problem last year and it was due to a faulty oil sensor. According to my service advisor, it is pretty common problem so just bring it in and they will swap it out for you.
