Hi Ya

I have got my ipod in the car now through the aux in on the comand

However im finding problems, were to put it at the moment im cliping it on the side of the pop piece of the dash but i cant see the screen.

I want to locate it next to the comand any suggestions on a holder or mounting unit for it?

Any pics or links would be great.

Where is the Aux output located in order for the Ipod to work ! Have you modified the original a bit ?

Okay thanks for the Info ! I assume it can only be fitted on 2004/05 models , whilst mine is a 2003 model ,I have no connections etc visible for aux input/output.

I thought I was the only one with iPod problems. I bought the wireless FM transmitter and it had static issues. So, I bought the Monster/iPod cassette interface. It works for only seconds and the head unit sends out the beeping
every 10 seconds. There has got to be a way for this stuff to work.

I was joking with the Mrs saying I need to buy a new car so I can use the iPod in the car.

This is the aux in lead from the dealer ( i think its either 30 or 40 pound:

You have to picture this as uk car so its in the same place on the uk models:


This is how you attach the cable:

Then you will need to run the rest of the aux cable to the c2 connecter at the back of the comand and install using this pin in diagram instructions form buellwinkles site (thanks B):

Not a CLK or iPod, but here's how I got my Dell DJ set up w/ modified Audio30 for AUX instead of tape.

Yes, proclip sells a very good mount but you have to know how to get the dash trim off. Luckily, one of my friends is quite skilled at it.

I guess that depends on the car... the W209 CLK is only two screws at the bottom, so most people can figure this out.

How did you connect your MP3 Player? Was it through the tape deck?

mine came with an aux input since my car is equipped with a comand system......its great!!!!!

An engineer friend of mine did it, not me. But from what I gather, he disabled the tape deck and added an AUX input instead, but it used the same output as the tape did. I can put you in contact with him if you're really interested.

I went to my local radio shop and asked them for a 3.5mm plug sockect extension cable. It's just a cable with 3.5mm connections on both ends.

Got it. Radioshack had them. everything works fine. Would be a lot cooler if you could get the song names to come up on the Comand.

Is that possible?

Does any one know how to get it to work with reg. deck the one with out the comandcenter? i cant seem to get mine to play on it. i do have the input. but i dont have a button to hit for the aux... some help please
