Eisenmann Question

I have found an Eisenmann Race exhaust for sale that is presently on a W208 CLK430. I would like to slip this on my W208 CLK55. Does anybody out there know if this will fit? Is the diameter of the exhaust section that the muffler attaches to the same between a 430 and a 55?

Any input or guidance greatly appreciated!

I think the diameter of the pipes is different. The AMG is larger and a better exhaust system all together. The only gain you will notice is noise.

Been there, done that.

Thanks!

No such thing as bad advice when it is based on "been there - done that" I could write a BOOK about "been there - done that" but I don't have any personal experience for the Eisenmann chapter! That's why this board is so valuable. Thanks.

But the sound of the Eisennmann is amazing so that "gain" might be worth it.

You Bet!

I'll second that! I just think I better wait and order a system made specifically for my 55. I was cruising alongside a modded late model Trans-Am yesterday and couldn't get over how GOOD the darn thing sounded. Though not my "first choice" for style of car, this one was very tastefully done and you could tell that the exhaust wasn't a GM factory option. It was really deep, throaty and mean sounding.
