Thinking about CLS55?!
Well I went to my dealership yesterday and I was looking at the CLS500 with AMG package they had on the showroom and I couldn't help myself falling in love with the exterior and interior of that car! I really want one now....what's the advantage of my CLK55 over the CLS? Is the Kompressor going to give me more problems down the road than the NA V8 will? I think I will miss the feature of all four windows going down.
But really .....what else is there going for the CLK55 now?remember, I have a 2003 CLK55....it has 17" tires and only one side exhaust. The exterior already looks dated.
I am starting to lust over the CLS.....I better get my mind off of it quickly!!!

I bet it will look like the CLS!
I guess I have no choice but to wait it out until 2007.

You have to really love the overall design of the CLS.
In terms of engine , a CLS500 engine is same as a current S500(W220), E500(W211). And this V8 300hp engine is not even to be used in the new S Class(W221) launch in Sep 2005.
The new S class will have the following engine line-up:
S350:V8,3.5 litre,272hp ( this is the new 3500cc 4Valve engine used on SLK350, E350 CLS350; but not the same 3700cc 3Valve engine currently used on the S350 W220 )
S450:V8,4.6 litre, 330hp
S550:V8,5.5 litre, 388hp
S600:V12,5.5 litre, Twin Turbo
S55AMG: V8,6.3 litre NA engine,504hp
S65AMG: ( the engine will be a 6 litre V12 engine bigger than current S65)
CLS500 is surely a new nice car, but the engine is outdated.
May be CLS350 is a nice alternative to save some bucks for next upgrade.
It is not the best but still a good timing to sell a 2003 CLK55 at best price. Look like you like to change car every 2 years, so get the CLS350 now and change it to CLS63, CLK63,CLE63, or even an 420hp M3 in 2007 ! Bingo !
Just my 2cents

You sure its a v8 ? Thought it was a v6, a guy I know has one, and under the hood it looks very much like a v6 even though its hard to tell without getting of some plastics
