First of all, I think some people have the whole concept of rice backwards. "Rice" is basically imitating the form with none of the function, cheap, low quality parts made to imitate the functional styling of a more expensive car (i.e. fake FMIC, fake carbon fiber, big wings on cars that don't need the downforce, etc. etc.), or over the top imitations of once cool ideas (i.e. Altezza lights on EVERYTHING, body kits that look like Lorinser DTM on crack...on a Honda, etc.) Calling Carlsson rice is simply ignorant because rice would be kits that imitate such a prestigious tuner. ;0)

I think people are calling the wing rice because the car is missing the rest of the DTM body work and as such, looks out of place. Such wings look fine on GT2 Porsche's because the bodywork is aggressive, but on top of the conservative AMG styling, it takes attention away from the car and makes it all about the wing IMNTBHO.

To each his own though.
