A little bit over $1,000... I think $1,150 was the total.
But I didn't get MB brake-pads. I'll be using PORTERFIELDS.

That price listed above must be their normal, standard retail.
I have a few friends at different MB dealerships, so they buy at their employee price. I think there's retail, then wholesale, then dealer net, and maybe something even lower.... I don't remember right now.

I feel really sorry dude. I must hurt you by accusing you for saying WRONG things in that "detailed thread".
Well...Now that you have so called the correct rear brake info. you try to frame me as a moron. Funny. Let me repost the thread and let others figure out the non-sense you were trying to say. Childish talking sh*t behind someone's back, you know?

Question question about PORTERFIELD brake pads for REAR AMG 2-piston caliper

PORTERFIELD brake pads:
What is the correct Part # ?

I was sent AP 603, but I suspect that's for the stock 1-piston rear caliper.
I did notice on the PORTERFIELD online catalog, the 2003+ SL55 / S55 / E55
use AP 984. Is that the same 2-piston AMG caliper shown above for the CLK55 ???

So why is there two versions of rear brakes on the W209 CLK55 ?
I mean one is plain ugly, you see on regular non-AMG cars,
and then there's this 2-piston AMG labeled caliper.
Shouldn't an AMG car come with AMG brakes ???

Question re: AMG 030 CLK or SLK Front Floating Rotors

Will the AMG 030 front floating rotors from a 2003 and up SLK55 or CLK55 fit on my C55 with the stock calipers? or, do I have to get the six piston front 030 AMG calipers to make this work?

I now want the front rotors to match the rear rotors (i.e. drilled and slotted) and I want the lower weight of the 030 front rotors but, I do not think that I particulary need the six piston front calipers.

Thanks,

Thanks,
The 030 floating rotors won't fit because they are 14"(part #209 421 01 12), but the -030(stock slk55/clk55 2005/2006) floating rotors will fit because they measure 13.6 (part # 171 421 01 12)just like your stock disc, the only difference is this rotor is 1.25" thick as opposed to 1" thick on your stock rotor(203 421 09 12). And they will stop so much better since they are composite.
