Is this something you did yourself, or is it more advisable to seek professional assistance? My Bell Mag-4 is plain 'ol white....I thought about spicing it up a bit for the upcoming racing/drag day season.

Depends if you want to be seen in public with it (or you paintin skillz).
I had Bob's Crazy Brush in Torrance do a custom motorcycle helmet for me, it came out great. But helmets need to be replaced every 7 years and that's when I realized that 400 for a helmet +500 for paint wasn't too smart. I now buy ones with factory graphics.
If you're just wearing it at the strip, I say spray away!

Have a racing graphics shop do vinyls for you -- much better way to go, and that's what I do for both helmets and for graphics and numbers on the cars when I take them to the track..
You can have somebody airbrush it with any artwork you want, but the amount of money that you;ll have into the helmet will be ridiculous.....

Thanks, I kicked around the idea of vinyl graphics and may end up doing that ultimately....what I really wanted was a silver helmet to match my 744 paint code. I looked for several months before I ordered this helmet, but could only find them in white or black (in the SA2000 rating)....never silver.
I've threatened to steal my friend's AMG racing helmet that they gave to participants on the AMG "Ultimate Challenge" back in the fall of 2004 as that helmet is just too cool! ClayJ, if you attended that event, you probably met my buddy....

You'd think its funny... but one time coming back from new orleans, a few years back, there was an old biker female, with gravity taken great affect, that had a single one on her helmet, and it was actually 3-d.. (gives me the hebbeee geeebbeees)
