Motorola Razr V3
How many people have Razr V3 here? I am making a new skin for my phone with AMG theme, I was wondering if anyone would be interested. Once I am done I will post pictures, and I can probably post it here too.

Oo I have been collection CLK55 AMG pictures, AMG and Benz logos to use as part of the theme if you have anything good it would be great ifyou can post them here.

This skin is for Motorola Razr V3, skin is AMG themed, splash screen is CLK55. So far I removed all carrier branding and added AMG theme. I will keep playing with it as I get more time. Enjoy.
Here is a skin that has studle changes to original Moto skin.
This is a mock image of how it looks, looks better on the phone.
You can put a different wallpaper image if you like. Also all the Window Tops have the ///AMG badge
AMG.zip (contains the skin files)
Replace a\mobile\system\cl.gif with below file this is the image shows when you flip open the phone in the outside lcd.
Replace a\custwakeup.gif with below file this is the image that will replace the splash screen when you turn the phone on. I got rid off all the annoying branding.
There are multiple ways to upload these files to the phone. Easiest is to buy what Motorola sells for dataconnection, I think it is around $20-30. If you are cheap like me (cuz just bought a CLK55 :-D ), you can use your usb cable from your digital camera, and download the tool called P2Ktools (free) which is a tool like explorer where you can browse the phone directories and upload files. Quite simple..
PS: Let me know if you need more info I will try to post more when I get time. Also if you have a easier way of uploading the skin (thru bluetooth etc.) let us know.

I am open to more ideas :-) and art work if anybody like pitch in (ideas).
As a reminder make sure to have your phone fully charged before doing any sort of modding/hacking. It sucks when the battery dies in the middle of a file transfer

How about substituting a sexy nude girl with her hands over her
head with palms together and she is standing with her legs
wide apart. Hmmm....the legs would have to be VERY long
though for it to mimick the 3pt star.

I can't seem to move the date up to the upper left hand corner. Does anyone have any idea how to do that. It stays in the bottom right hand corner or just in the middle on the top. THANKS!!!!

I had the same result here with the time. It shifted from top to bottom. Anyone knows how to align the clock back to the top right???

I highly recommend reading up some articles in http://www.motomodders.net/ FAQ. You need to understand the risks you are taking by modding your phone :-). Just adding a new skin is no big deal but p2ktools can cause problems if you delete the wrong file etc.
There is detailed instructions on how to add skins in the FAQ but the high level FAQ is to (in addition to none skin related files I explained up top)
If you have pk2tools installed start the program, then connect your phone through usb cable. If you havent installed the required drivers, windows should ask you to find them (directly point to pk2drivers for all interfaces discovered by Windows). Once all drivers are installed to windows assuming p2ktools is running do following:
From "Switch to" drop down menu switch to p2k mode. Make sure below status line shows green connected.
Click on "File Manager" on left
Click on "Refresh" under file operations panel. At this point you should see p2ktools downloading file list from your phone.
In "Folder Tree" pane you can see the directory structure of your phone. Navigate to \\a\mobile\skins (note anytime you need to get the file list from phone you need to click on refresh in file operations panel)
This is where you should copy the skins directory in my zip file. To do this use the upload under file operations menu.
Disclaimer again !!! Please read the FAQs in the link below. If you overwrite the wrong stuff or delete a required file from your phone it might break you phone. I highly suggest you to copy all the files from your phone \\a (directory) on to your computer before doing anything with your phone so that you have a copy for it incase anything goes wrong.
