First Oil Change??
I'm just over 1,000 miles and have made an appointment for an oil change with fresh Mobil 1 and a new filter.
I guess I just don't trust the FSS and may plan future changes at 3,000-5,000 mile intervals.
Anyone else change their oil on a more frequent basis than the FSS?

I trust MB German engineering & Mobil 1.
Service "A" @ 10,000 miles is fine and free.
I've been using Mobil 1 for 30 years in 10 different cars and NEVER experienced an engine problem.

I have been a little suspecious of the 10k service myself. Growing up in a mechanic family that worked on domestic cars, I was preached to on a daily basis to change the oil every 2500-3k miles. Now, I have to wait until 10k, I am starting to loose my senses, but wait it is a lease & I have a full factory warranty. I think I will do as the car says!!!! We have to put our faith in the brilliant German engineers.
