RennTech Chip
#2
Save your money, I would only get another chip if I added headers and cams. I had a chip before and noticed nothing, but now I don't have to worry about it because I supercharged it and removed the chip (software)
Buy springs and shocks, tint and 12"subs instead.
Good luck

Let me just say that I plan to take it off real soon.
IMHO, its crap for my application.
I have a dyno of the car with Renntech software, and I plan to dyno it without the software. I'm willing to bet there will be little difference.

My understanding is that the re-mapping of the ECU is very similarly done across the board by the high-end tuners. I am getting a Kleemann reprogrammed chip in my W208, it should give me about 7% increase in HP. The tech takes the chip out and sends it overnight to Kleemann to get reprogrammed and then sent back. If you are planning on getting a S/C soon then you will need to redo it so keep that in mind, it programing is tailored for your car's capabilities/equipment. In general they help but don't makea huge difference unless your car is running a turbo charger in which case you can see huge gains. Next week I should have my car with the new Kleemann headers, LSD, and ECU installed...I will let you know how the new mapping of the chip feels.
