I didnt answer before because i figured someone knew for sure, but since no one has replied yet, ill throw in my two cents. Im pretty sure that the Nappa Leather is standard in the 55. Ive never seen one without it. My salesperson was trying to push me to buy the AMG instead of my 430, and part of his pitch was the "standard upgrade to nappa leather". hopefully someone is positive though and can support or refute my assumption...

It is unclear in the '01 CLK brochure as they only refer to the leather in the CLK55 as "Exclusive".
However, at www.mbusa.com, they describe the AMG interior on the '02 CLK55 as Nappa leather.
