lets see,

the cars imported to this area are modified for low octane fuel. Our fuel is unleaded as well. However, once every 5 fill ups, i add a container of octane and it runs just fine.

The MB's imported are pretty much euro spec and have quite a high compression ratio compared to US spec cars. Which means better acceleration and higher limited speeds.

I was advised my MB Bahrain not to remap my ECU due to the low octane fuel, only then will i get knocking!

As for figures and facts are concerned:

CLK 320 AMG DESIGNO ELEGANCE 2000
0 - 100 km/h in 6.8 sec.
250 km/h limited top speed at 5000 rpm.
Sport tuned ( as per the spec sheets at the time of ordering)
Higher capacity alternator.
Max output at drive is 230 HP
K&n Cone filter i feel has given me that extra 5 or 10 HP's.

So i'm pretty satisfied with the performance.

ps. Bring on any US spec CLK430 and i might just lift a few eyebrows!

Very nice evening shot! Great looking car.

Now, does this 10 bedroom house have an underground garage?

Ha Ha!

Thanks, Karl. Actually, I snapped this shot in the morning with an overcast sky at the AMG Photo Shoot location last weekend. An hour later, the clouds burned off and we had great weather for the drive and subsequent activities.

i dont get it!

Why do all CLK55's in the US sit so high?

Dont they have AMG sport suspension?

I mean... my car is a 320, and when i first got it, it sat lower than that picture!

It's 4-matic

j/k

There were 5 CLK55s at the photo shoot. Of the five, three had stock suspension and wheels. My CLK sat the highest of the three. Don't know why.

Wayfast brought his CLK55 with 18" Mono IIs and one bump pads. THAT car looks awesome the way it sits....very aggressive.

What a great 208 CLK AMG line-up!

All AMGs would benefit from these MB wheel center caps.

They exhibit the MB TRADITION.

I got them at the MB dealership's Parts Dept..

They were $15 each. You need to remove each wheel and pop out the "STAR" center cap and insert the "MB Laurel" center caps.
