This DTM went for $700 nz, a very rare car, but rumour has it we
have another one on the way out of the uk

Does anyone actually know what the car weighs, as the official kerb weight was quite high. Does this include a rather large driver as well as full tank etc. When I saw a car in the flesh, earlier this year, I remember the front wings being made of a plastic or carbon composite. I can`t remember what the doors were made of though. They might be standard steel to offer the side impact protection. I think the bonnet was aluminium, not sure of the boot. The car didn`t look that heavy, can anyone enlighten from personal experience?

Weight ready for driving: 1742 kg
includes 68 kg for driver, tank filled 90% (of 92 l capacity) and 7 kg luggage.
Subtracting these (and using .74 for density of gasoline) 1742-68-61-7=1606 kg or 3533 lbs is weight of car alone.
