rpm, to help improve control on slippery surfaces.
AMG Speedshift with direct Manual control AMG SpeedShift™ programming provides up to 35 percent faster gear changes,
automatically downshifts during braking, prevents unwanted upshifting while cornering, and features torque converter lockup
in all forward gears. Manual mode allows direct-access shifting through forward gears via paddles on back of the upper
steering-wheel spokes (left paddle downshifts, right paddle upshifts) or via Touch Shift feature of shift lever, and will
automatically intervene only to select 1st gear when the vehicle stops. In Standard and Comfort modes, the steering-wheel
paddles operate the Touch Shift feature.

Brake Assist Brake Assist senses emergency braking via the speed at which the driver presses the brake pedal and immediately
applies maximum available power boost, potentially reducing the overall stopping distance by eliminating the delay caused by
a common human tendency not to brake hard enough, soon enough. Letting up on the brake pedal releases Brake Assist.

Auxiliary input jack in glovebox allows connection of an MP3 player to the audio system. harman/kardon® LOGIC7® digital

7.1-channel amplifier with 320 watts (Coupes) or 240 watts (Cabriolets) total output; multichannel digital surround-sound

Instrumentation

AMG-designed black gauges with soft backlighting, black matte surround, and AMG RACETIMER. Digital display for odometer and
Touch Shift gear/mode selection. Multifunction display in speedometer face can be scrolled via the steering-wheel controls to
operate and display various menus and vehicle features including the resettable trip meter and outside temperature indicator,
digital speedometer, maintenance system, engine oil-level check, radio station, CD player, CD changer (optional), iPod
playlist/track (with accessory iPod Integration Kit), navigation system route guidance (optional), vehicle reminder and
malfunction messages, driver-programmable settings for instruments, lighting, vehicle, and convenience features. Also
includes controls for trip computer (elapsed time, fuel consumption, distance to empty) and optional cellular phonebook.
Mercedes-Benz maintenance system displays the distance remaining to the next basic maintenance service, indicates the type of
service due, and provides an automatic reminder feature when the service interval draws near. Audible reminders and messages
for open door or sunroof (if equipped); exterior lamp failure; low fuel, engine oil, coolant, and washer fluid; and to
release parking brake, switch off headlamps, and remove the ignition key.
