2003 clk55 amg

new clk550

I understand that the clk500 is now a clk550 with the 55amg engine instead of the old 5 litre v8. There has also been a power hike to 382 bhp.
Does anyone know how they achieved this increase.

Actually the CLK550 has an all new 5.5L DOHC 32V V8 which accounts for the power increase. This new V8 isn't related to the old SOHC 24V, 3-Plug V8 in the 06' CLK55 AMG.
