A little car joke.
While on vacation in Stuttgart an American asked his German host how do you pronounce Daimler-Chrysler?
His host replied, "Well I don't know how you say it over in the States. But here in Germany the Chrysler is silent."
His host replied, "Well I don't know how you say it over in the States. But here in Germany the Chrysler is silent."

This could be applied to the company I work for..
Alcatel is in the process of buying Lucent. The new company name has already been announced as Alcatel-Lucent....
