iforged wheels 19 for clk55 amg feedback
Hi guys, im new here. Ive had many a cars in my life and done all kinds of crazy stuff. I just ordered a set of iforged variants 19 staggered for my CLK 55 about five weeks back and they tell me its about to arrive. The back are 19X10 and my car runs on H&R springs ,now this is a very aggrisive stance and I think its gonna rub. Please let me know if it will rub and what size tires should I go with. Any suggesions will be appriciated. thanks Oz,,,,,

Tyres & Wheels
Good Morning OZ Wizard Just funnin with ya.
I was down in the Keys 2 weekago and saw a W209, 2003 CLK 500 with Kleemann TM-5 19"wheels. I do not know what (offset) they where & i didn't see the make . I was trying to be inconspicuous , Also saw no rubbing Issues, But here are the Tyre sizes used on that car
Fronts ___ 235/35 ZR 19
Rear ___ 265/30 ZR 19

275's MAY cause rubbing, 265's are the safest bet. I have the H&R cup kit with 235/35/19 up front and 265/30/19 in the rear with the car slammed and I dont rub. On the 55 I have the kleemann suspension but I'm running 18" monoblocks (more of a track car) with 275's in the rear and no rubbing. I was about to order some Iforged Variants yesterday! Please post up some pics when you get them on the car. What finish did you order?
AMGKing- Do you have the SL65 wheels on your car? Any pics?

Wheel offset
I believe the OZ Has a W-209 Body style . Which will reQuire . different offsets than the W-208s you guys are running. For Grins , E-mail Luke @ tire rack. See what his opinion is . ___PTE___

The guys at iforged call it hi polish . It shines like chrome but doesnt chip like chrome just polished to a high gloss like mirror. The rears have an almost 4 inch lip .I have the rears already shipped sitting in the dining room . Ill post some pictures later. Now I dont know yet how they ride but they sure as hell look like show stoppers. Let me tell you something , these wheels dont come hubcentric and hubcentric rings are provided. Now I am not at all a fan of hubcentric rings. I was told they are as good as it gets but I guess Ill have to wait and see.

Hi polish is a pain to keep clean. Iforged makes custom wheels, why didnt they make your wheels hubcentric? Thats pretty messed up! 4" lip? I gotta see this! I dont care about the ride because I know how a clk rides on 19's and a drop. Its not that bad. The H&R cup kit is the lowest/harshest ride but it still isnt that bad. If I do get the variant's I will get the same sizes as you but with a custom black opal center and chrome lips.

Mine IS a W208 and I have Brabus monoblock 5 18s right now 8.5 and 9.5 . Yah I know he lip size is wild!!!! on the iforged but I wish they were hubcentric and thats what I was told by my salesperson and he still insists its gonna ride like cream but somehow I dont believe that keeping my previous ordeals in view. With the ring it sits pretty nice but you never can tell till you roll over 60 mph. The bad part is Im really you can say stuck up about things like this .Now even if they ride fine I will find something to point my finger at the hubcentricity of the wheels.......................

I thought when you ordered Iforged, they will custom make for you so you dont have to worry about rubbing. Can somebody verify/agree with my statement?
I really like the Variant, looks like HRE 542. Post some pics pls

Yes, that's true, provided that you gave them all the proper information such as whether the car is lowered. Also, for a CLK 275's will probably cause rubbing.

Yes, Iforged are custom made rims and they should fit like a tailor made suit but since they are not hubcentric and come with hubcentric rings I now believe the experiment is already unstable and can go either way. Dont mean to scare anyone but lets face it ,,,,, the wheels should have been HUBCENTRIC,,,,,, and I promise if there is a fraction of unstablity Im gonna take them off and put them on ebay. Im like that. Will post some pics of the back wheels day after tomorrow. My fronts are on their way. No question they are a show stopper.

Hey guys. I just got my Iforged Daytonas back in August 19x8.5, 19x10..Im running a HNR and bilstien drop with stock pads and my rear is rubbing. Ive running 235 265 nitto 555..could it be the thickness of the tires?

How bad is the rubbing? The reason is if it's only slightly rubbing then you might need to roll the fender. I know probably it's not something that you want nor did I but I had no choice with my DPE wheels. I think the best size for rear wheels is 9.5inch.

on stock w/ fender roll/grind it was fine. still tore up the plastic on the inside though, but thats nothing

No longer car shopping...
Maybe a small issue but maybe not... Not all 265's are the same. Differing height sidewalls are available. Are yours 265/30 or 265/35's? If 265/35's, there's your problem. If you ARE running 265/30's then you may have other issues (like suspension incorrectly set).
