Anyone Use a Battery Maintainer?
Anyone use a battery maintainer, like the Battery Tender? I had one for my motorcycle when I didn't ride it over the winter months and it worked great. I was just wondering how we would connect the "quick disconnect" connections on our battery. For my bike, the battery terminals were much smaller and the circle clamps that come on the battery tender were able to fit around the terminal. From the pics, it looks like the quick disconnects are the same size...

I bought the MB trickle charger last month - it costs me about $100. It made sense because I travel frequently by air and sometimes my car can sit for two weeks. Plus when I'm fooling around in the garage I play the radio, keep the interior lights on, etc.
The trickle charger works well but the big inconvenience is connecting it to the battery which is under the floor of the trunk. You have to take everything out of the trunk each time. The manual says not to connect the trickle charger to the cigar lighter. I solved the problem by having a 12V outlet installed above the cargo net in the passenger footwell. I was pleasantly surprised when the "stealer" only charged me about $150 for that.
