Does Anyone know how to get CLK DTM Mods?
I hope that I'm not beating a dead horse...but does anyone know how to get access to the parts to convert a standard W209 CLK55 to emulate the CLK DTM?
I like the cosmetics and the performance specs. I assume that an HPS supercharger would take care of the muscle, but I'm clueless with regards to the rest of the car.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this subject?
Thanks!

Hi Mark,
Thanks for the quick reply! Just so that I don't get sticker shock, how much do you think these parts go for?

I don't knwo if this will help, but I've got the rims that the CLK DTM rims were based on and made by the same company (OZ).
If you want more pictures, you can check out the links in my signature.

Thanks for the advice on the rims. I couldn't really get a good look at your rims cuz of the contrast (black/black) through your link. Do you have any close-ups of them?
How is the Tein suspension on your car? Is it significantly stiffer or harsher than stock?

Here are some links from a long thread I have in the w203 forum:

TEIN suspension is actually the prototype. I did the R&D for the 230SS (S-tech, Basic and Super Street). Love it! Although, I'm sure there are better setups out there. As for stiffness, I think it all is a matter of perspective. I don't mind the ride in the car being a little harsh. In fact, I hate cushy rides that make the car bounce. I Love it.

I am sure that he cannot dip his hands on the parts as he does not own a DTM unfortunately.

[QUOTE=MARK CUMMINS;2050416]How can you be so sure that Steve can? Is he related to AMG Direct Business Personel? Otherwise don't raise up anyone's hope. These DTM parts are strictly reserved for owners not for people like us.

If if you got the DTM parts- which are all carbon fiber - they won't just "bolt-on".The chasis isn't the same as the CLK.That's why the DTM's are hand built and cost over $400k.

That way I am the same here. I don't have to go through anyone to order any parts. I am not going to state who has a better connection or somthing like that because it is stupid.
As you have seen on this board, I have access to most of AMG stuff that people couldn't buy. I heard Steve getting AMG steering wheels but how come I never see those products' pictures from members who got them? There is no solid proof.
There is a specific procedure that needs to be taken to get these parts. I am not going to mention any details but friends don't matter here. It is all about filling out the papers to get the limited parts out of the facility.
If those parts were so easy to get, I am pretty sure that someone already has imported the whole kit to US and make a replica to make a massive sale for CLK people. VIN is almost meaningless here. You just have to understand the details.
Again, only the owners can order the parts after the confirmation of AMG. If you think that it is that easy. You are really mistaken.

Well.. You just made a fool of yourself. There is a guy who sells this steering wheel on Ebay. AMG Manufacture paddle steering wheel does not look like what you have shown in the picture. The steering wheel you bought actually cost 450USD on ebay while AMG performance product will go up to more than 1200 USD without import tax or shipping. And they look different.
If you want to see the real thing, I suggest you go to the link I post and see the difference.

Why would you call your product authentic when it is not? Very interesting. Do you know what you just proved with your proof?

How much did you pay for that steering wheel? I am just wondering.
Did you pay around the amount I just quoted you?
The regular steering wheel cost more than that.
What you bought is a mere immitation product of AMG steering wheel.
Man, Sorry to ruin your feeling though.

You won't get them anyways here are the part numbers.
A209 XXX XX 12 priced at 750 euro per rotor.
BTW, if you are looking for these parts on your software, it won't work.
Please stop bugging me and what you are doing is very childish.
I can rewrite the number if anyont needs confirmation as I mentioned in the previous post I don't want to release such info. without the consent of AMG so I put Xs on the numbers back.

Maybe I have qualities that you have stated. But at least I don't lie or give out wrong information like yourself. If you have problems with so called the issues you state that I have, that is your problem, not mine.
Also don't get so upset. I am glad you like your steering wheel that you purchased from someone on the board and the price you paid for it. But the point is that it is not from AMG and that is something that you need to understand and learn to accept instead of going into a deeper hole that you have digged yourself into. The reason I asked you for the price you paid is because I did not want you to overpay for an item that you can get online with buy it now option.
I wrote that thread in the other forum because people were writing many threads of what kinds of mod are available for CLK. I wrote the price to give them a reference as well. What is so wrong about that? My initial intension when I wrote that thread could have led people to think like you do but do I really need to think that far about others so much when I am trying to let them know what's available and how much they are? If I only owned this car for let's say less than 1 year and did all those mods, I am a crazy person. It is almost getting to 4 years.
When I debated or argued in recent two threads including this one, it is because I know that such AMG products are not easy to get and I found inconsistant information. Maybe the people that argued directly with me might hold bad feelings or grudges against me, but at least the rest of members can get the right parts with correct information when they want to do some mods I have done an extensive research on.
So far hijacking this thread, you participated as well so share it with me.
I am sorry to the Jersey55 for this happenning.
