I will be honest i was going to (still might) put black emblems on my red W208 55amg its a real 55 but anyways I was going to use the black series amg badge at first, but thought better of it.

Fair enough & I agree to a point but what do you say about the FACTORY? NOT dealership, equiping said vehicles w/AMG labeled Wheels & AMG bodykits? They can even buy the AMG rotors/calipers labeled AMG it's an option. I see total blame going to Factory & Dealership perpetuating Newb owners to think they have an AMG 500/550/300 etc car.

& why I think you should give the real posers this attention, the little AMG badge near otherwise badged 500/550/300 etc makes zero sense. If they put 55/63/65 in it's place? I completely agree it's wrong etc.. Enthusiast clearly can see it's NOT claiming to have an AMG engine..

I am inclined to agree with Thericker. For example, my CLS came with the AMG sport package, bodykit, wheels, and exhausts all have AMG all over them from the factory. How could I be posing?

My points exactly, though it would appear these restless natives want to hang anybody w/AMG optioned cars from the FACTORY & Dealerships, that CLEARLY don't claim to have AMG engines.

What are people like the member here to do? Sand off AMG logos on Wheels/Exhaust tips/Calipers, & what about the AMG bodywork installed again @ factory? That bodywork is the most missleading in discerning between an AMG or NON-AMG car to general public..

Lastly I'm NOT trying to justify consumers adding the AMG badge to their 550/500/300 etc models, just think the cars badged like this from Dealer & optioned from the FACTORY w/AMG parts isn't the SAME as rebadging 65/63/55 which implies it has an AMG engine.

I think you guys have it all wrong. All AMG logos on your car that came from the factory i.e. tires, etc... are fine. Thats not posing. I'm talking about the guy that decides to put the ebay AMG logo on his trunk because he has an AMG sport option that gives him the side skirts, tires, etc... Now that is posing. No one here is saying sand off all your AMG logos (thats just retarded), we are just saying if you add an AMG logo to the back of your car its posing because that badge did not get put on the trunk from the factory.
Only real AMG's have the badge on the trunk from the factory.

HAHAH seems that I'm getting really lucky spotting posers. These are real two posers. One put C55 AMG while he's driving a CL500 and the other one is a E350... he put E63 AMG everywhere. It's hilarious. I don't understand how can someone ridicule himself that way

BMW actually DOES put those badges on the back of M-spec cars... So the BMW factory is a little bit of a poser itself

This is true. Years ago a friend of mine bought a brand spankin new 540 but it had the complete M5 appearance package. Regular 540 drive train but the interior, ground effects, badging (inside and out), everything was just like the M5......... except where it really counts LOL
