The irony of false badging is that you prey on people that are car-ignorant so to them a Benz is a Benz is a Benz and "amg" Probabaly doesn't mean anything to them
So the poser slaps the amg badging on for these people who don't even understand what an amg is
And for those that DO get what amg means, we realize it's fake and that it's a poser move... The driver is immediately deemed a loser
Seems the poser is screwed both ways .. And if they don't realize this... Which is all active posers... Then they are dooshbags too
... and I think I messed up the alignment, but I just added "00" where the "63" was to help with placement, yet I think it looks a bit higher then stock placement.
Since I got rid of the AMG, I no longer get tailgated, taunted, and revved up on. All of a sudden I'm invisible again, .....until I wanna make some noise.

For some reason this works for me... Would re do the alignment

Seems a bit extraneous... When all you needed was this...

So someone explain this one to me... Yesterday driving westbound on highway 66 near Dulles airport. SLK500 passes on the left with an AMG badge. Doesn't make sense to me! Must be some serious insecurities!
Yep, not sure where he found an SLK500 let alone an amg one.
I think some of the problems with weird badging is the car gets into accidents and the shop is too stupid to know what the car is. If you buy a badge for a C350 it will come as CLK350 and you toss the other letters. I had a customer to come to me with a that very thing and she argued with my that her car was a clk and not a c class. Shew as actually offended that I called her car a c-class and she was upset because someone sold her the car like that.
You are correct it is not a AMG it is a AMG BLACK ( copy ). My car is a poser, it has a black series, wide body kit so I figured I may as well label it in the same vain.

But the body kit actually changes the car. The badges do not.
The kit's actually pretty cool, any more shots of the rear bumper? From the angle you posted that bumper is Now about the red accents, you need to loose about 2/3 of them, what makes a tiny dash of red or color of your choice against Black is to use it very sparingly, that makes them REALLY POP.. & choosing exactly what to accent makes or breaks an otherwise good build.. The top of the trunk antena? Wheel cap circles? Ouch..
All you really need to pull it off is the brake Calipers & SOME of the badges in contrasting/accent RED. When you add too many dashes of red it doesn't work anymore, it ends up looking too busy & cheap...
Now why did you add the sl65 AMG & Black Series to boot? You didn't even buy the correct taillights, & double trunk wing/spoilers?? You know the real answer as you've read this thread, the people that know the difference will indeed chuckle/laugh @ you & what you've done, & most likely post some pix of your 600? here.. You only added those Ebay badges to try & fool/impress majority of others into thinking you paid $300k for a real Black, that my friend is indeed sad.. You should have pride in what it is, a really nicely modded SL600 & not try to impress/lie to the uninformed leading them to believe your super wealthy
Anybody who buils a wide body, black series look a like. Is being a poser ( dont you have one of those ) so I embrace the poser status. I looked at a few black series cars before I started this project but really wanted the drop top, so this is what I created.
I will actually call it a R231 Black ( i beat AMG to it ) if anybody asks.
I have said on my build post I am going to delete the red wheel caps and the red on the bonnet badge as I do feel they are too much, the rest, I really like. It is difficult to judge the accents until you see the finished product.
As regards to the tail lights, I didn't buy any parts other than the body kit, the lights are original. The badges are AMG not ebay, not that it would really matter. The other side has V12 Biturbo on it not sl65. The reason for the labeling was really just because I liked the look. The sl600 badge just didn't look like it belonged on this kit and I don't like the no badge look.
I was trying to create something unique which is why I went for the color scheme then I saw this yesterday from AMG.

Please consider the little hearts as Hyperion suggested
Good god what the hell is going here...you have a v12 mercedes and you add sh*t to it to make it look more expensive, and only end up making it look cheap. This does not say "AMG" to me, it looks aftermarket from tip to tail..
