don't get me wrong, I think the car is fantastic, I just don't see the need to put the badges on there that aren't correct. I guess I'd rather have an insane SL600 than an imitation SL65...the people who would be impressed by the black series badge are going to recognize right away that it's not a BS...well, maybe it is a BS....

What spacers are you running with the carlsson ultra lights? I 2 of the have the 1/16 models 19x10 still on at my house, I sold my other 4 for a nice penny but I would think that spacer would have to be huge. If it's not maybe I'll pick up 20x11s i found for sale cause I love how light they are. Otherwise I was gonna buy some 3 piece 19s and have them re-barreled so I can have a 2 sets of 19s and 20 3 piece wheels lying around
The spacers are quite large, around 50mm if I remember. However the advantage of this size is that you get a very solid billet bolt on spacer with hub centric on both sides which are used in racing applications.

So you're running spacers? Hope the spacer guru's who sold me mine & told me they were only meant for temp use at this giant size & added absolutely zero spirited driving or catastrophic failure would follow @ some time etc etc. I hope for your sake & others in your path they are/were wrong..
I think the bodykit looks great just ditch the ghey AMG Black Series krap... But the overboard red accents? Hell it's your rig paint it bright pink too

Yeah same other than that AMG badge it looks great, but 50 mm spacers, I'd feel worried driving on those, looks like I'm gonna do the re-barrel option for sure lol
Thericker do you know of anybody trying aftermarket seats on these cars, like the Euro Sl65 Black has. The integrated seat belt would seem to be the biggest problem. I was thinking about doing a carbon harness bar across the upper bench area.

Yes I am getting 2 german flags and some 51mm spacers to daily on
... and I think I messed up the alignment, but I just added "00" where the "63" was to help with placement, yet I think it looks a bit higher then stock placement.
Since I got rid of the AMG, I no longer get tailgated, taunted, and revved up on. All of a sudden I'm invisible again, .....until I wanna make some noise.

I can't say people posing really affects my life to the high degree it appears to some others. I would prefer people wouldn't do it. 350's and 500/550's I find slightly annoying, most others I find amusing. An SL600, sure it shouldn't have an AMG badge but I would happily swap my car for it anyday, awesome looking project!
Lol that was good. It's really an SL601 but I have a W211 body kit on it. Anyway back to the thread... bad picture but C class with an AMG badge on it, notice the single tail pipes
