CLK55 Sideways

CLK55 Sideways
I was running an errand last night in a nicer part of Houston. Metro bus to the right of me and lo and behold an Audi RS4 (420HP) to the left of me. We slowly take off and then we both punch it....my CLK tries to go sideways?! We are at the stoplight and I punch it and it does the same thing.
1. It was cold (for Houston) 43 degrees
2. I had the traction control "off"
3. The surface was dry but slick
The CLK55 handled like a over engined 1960's muscle car. Does the W209 come with a limited slip? What is the best way to control the car other than feathering the throttle? Bigger rear tires?

Try a Quaiffe LSD. And yes, you do have to feather the throttle on a launch.

oh. haha. i didnt know it was in houston. i like michelin pilot sports and yokohama advans but they are very costly. summer tires at 43 degrees will not grip. i am using 18 inch falkens right now. they do the job ok. it's not as grippy as the other two tires but at least if i didnt hgave enough time to switch to snow tires over here, i am not screwed
