Question on H&R spring for CLK55
My names Micah Im new here, I was wondering if someone could give me some advice on springs. 01 clk55 thats stock, and I want to put 19" wheels, looking @ H&R, is it just the 1" drop Im looking for? Also 8.5 front, and 9.5 in the rear workout best? Thanks

I would recomend going with European AMG factory springs. They are a little hard to find but worth the effort. I and Chappy both have done it to our cars and it is the best mod I can think of. The car rides better, handles better and requires no changing of shocks since they are factory spec items.![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
I am running factory 18" monoblocks. With 275 on the back you stand the chance of rubbing on bumps if the drop is too severe.
Just my .02

03 CLK 55 AMG, IMCO muffler/Magnaflow tips, KW V1 coilovers, 19" Petrol Metrix Wheels
get some nice coilovers and be done with it. you can change the ride height and the ride is actually better than stock. it least for my 55 it became last choppy and harsh and i am much lower than i would be with just springs.

I would highly recommend the H&R spring for your car. They are probably the top aftermarket spring for Euro cars. I have them on my car, which is the same model as yours. I also have 19" rims (8.5 front and 9.5 rear). There was some rubbing but nothing my local garage couldn't handle. The ride is great and the handling and look is exceptional. Spring pad choice will be key for how low you go. Good luck.
