Rotor price

I took my car for service B (mine has 60k miles). The dealer called me to tell be that on top of Srv B + air filter, I need 2 front rotors changed as well as all 4 brake pads replaced. They quoted me about $2700 for the work. Am I getting rap*d by them? I am too busy to deal with this, so I told them to do the work but now I am having a second thought. Any thought on this? Thanx

Service B should only be around $300-$350 in total. The rest of that number is the brakes. $2400 for pads, OEM rotors (4 or 2?) and labor is alot of freakin $$. But it is a Mercedes dealer......

To me, it seems excessive.
You could buy a Brembo big brake kit for the same money.

For a 208 or 209? 209 should be much cheaper.

*Edit* I was responding to the post before mine thinking it was the original poster.

You're looking at $1800 in parts at the standard dealer retail rate.

Rotors on a 2005/2006 CLK55 have a dealer retail price of $695 per side in the front. Front pads are the same as a CLK500, and retail for $100. Rear rotors are the same part as a CLK500 and retail for $65 each. Rear pads on a 2005/2006 CLK55 are AMG specific and cost $165 (double the CLK500 rate). Including tax, you're close to $2K. $200 in labor, another $100 for the brake fluid flush, $130 in air filters, and your B service, yeah, $2700.

Being a member of the Mercedes Benz Club of America would knock the bill down.

Update:

So this is the price on the invoice:
869 rotor (each)
283 front pad (each)
210 rear pad (each)

I thought this is just plain absurd so I called another dealer in the area and they quoted me
695 rotor (each)
157 front pad (BOTH)
165 rear pad (BOTH)

Unfortunately, the dealer finished the job already. I am really angry at them for taking advantage of me (I have been using this dealer for 5 years) and dump me with this ridiculous invoice. I did not pick up the car yet and gonna call the SA in the morning. Is there anything that can be done at this point?

EACH? I'd complain BIG TIME. Aside from the fact that the pads are only sold in axle sets, as a regular customer, you shouldn't have to pay above retail. The SA can, and should, reduce the bill.

Did you, at any time, give your authorization to complete this work?

If not, I would raise holy heck!!!
