You'd think so, but I'm still 18,000 posts away from the highest on the board! Although I think the numbers that Mach430 has are inflated.

Why buy new? Only if you require new. As my first AMG, I see nothing wrong with a W210 AMG. Plus, I feel like I practically stole it. How much more car could I have gotten for the money? Not much if any.

Esh, I agree but to take it further - there is nothing wrong with ANY Mercedes AMG model. From the classic w123, w126, w124 AMGs in the past to the recent and current newest AMG models today. As long as it's a 100% legitimate, official, and certified AMG vehicle, then it's all good! Enjoy your E55 bro!

Yeah man. Now I know how Sylvester Stallone must feel. Here's a guy that is older than dirt and looks every bit of it and tries to relive his "Rocky days" by injecting himself with steroids! Why, to keep up with the youngester's? Sometimes you gotta know when to let nature take it's course I am aging gracefully at the YOUNG age of 32

I agree, from classic to new, AMG's that are 100% legit are fine automobiles. I can't even imagine myself getting rid of this one. It's all about feeling good about your purchase, and I really don't see how you couldn't if you buy an AMG in good shape, used or new. That is of course, if you've stretched yourself financially.

Some of the points in this thread about using ones income for the car I do agree with. If it's a choice between a car and a house, I wouldn't live in an apartment and trade the income for a house into a car. But if that's someones choice, more power to them. I just hate to see the cars bought and turned in because the owner can't make the payments.

And you better believe I'm enjoying it.

Just curious....whats the "AMG package" on a 99 CLK430? I think the rims and bodywork came standard on the 430. I leased one for a few years. I don't think it was a package.

My douche bag radar is pinging like a *****!!! What an ostentatious bugger...he probably lives in a crappy flat in East London. I love how foreigners try to bag on the US...we're still the Superpower, we're still the place everyone wants to go, we bailed all your butts out in WWI and II...get over it.
