How many miles are too many miles....

If I'm buying a used 2004 CLK55? I do want to do a few mods but it won't be a daily driver.

I am looking at a 2004 CLK55 White w/Charcoal Int. 52000 miles. Should I hold off and try to find one with under 45k? Opinions?

Condition is more important than miles. Have you had a PPI done? Any (extended) warranty left?

Nope but I am doing research on who could do one for me. The car isn't in the same state I am in so it may be a little harder. I'm sure that there is no warranty left on it.

I just bought an '04 CLK 55 in mint condition, no dings, perfect. I purchased it with 44,000 miles and got a 100,000 mile warranty for under $5,000.

Run a Carfax first. If is shows a wreck, walk away.

What is the price of the car?

What does the present owner say it needs?

Has the transmission been flushed?

Is he the original owner?

Are all the service records available and up-to-date?
