I'm sure this question has been asked before

Why has Mercedes-Benz not seen fit to grace North America with the standard CLK63 AMG coupe?

I am 90% sure I saw one though about two weeks ago at the local Best Buy. I remember it vividly because I was pissed off because the guy had put bumper stickers on it. And it didn't say black series or have the BS wheels.

The Black Series isn't badged as such, but still, bumper stickers on Benz? OH SHI-

They do have a CLK63 coupe overseas. Maybe this one was an import?

Just a minor correction. The CLK63 Black Series Mercedes-AMG models do carry a badge on the rear deck lid, identifying the car as a Black Series.

Oh. I didn't know that. I would think that the Black Series specific body styling would be enough of a tip-off.

It is very small so you might not notice it. It is just writing on the bottom of the AMG logo.

I know the one I saw wasn't a black series because it didn't say it plus it was convertible.

The CLK63 cabrio is available here, just not the "regular" coupe.

Refer to post #2.

According to the AMG Private Lounge, the U.S. Sales figures for the CLK55 where:

2001 1343
2002 1467
2003 761
2004 509
2005 247

EDIT:

There have been MANY cars over the years MBUSA chose not to import....W202 C55, W203 C55 wagon, W204 C63 Wagon, W210 E55 Wagon, any AMG Manufaktur cars (like the special G-wagons), R129 SL73 AMG, diesel MLs, diesel SLs, diesel wagons, etc.

Chappy, for the sake of comparison, what were the sales figures for the CLK55 cabrio?
